Robot: Okay, I know it’s confusing, but robot’s name is robot. Not only that, he prefers the lower-case “r“, when possible. Look, I’ve tried to talk him out of this a dozen times. I’ve suggested a number of perfectly good names, but he’s not having any of it. This is the only thing he ever gets crabby about, but as soon bring up the topic and he gets sullen and withdrawn. Any other time, he is very good natured, so I’ve just stopped trying to convince him otherwise. Here’s the bottom line: he saved my life, so even if he want to be called Shirley, well, so be it.
